Propose a Panel or Plan and Organize a Workshop!

The Papers & Notes Chairs have told us that CSCW 2008 received an excellent turnout for papers and notes (over 230 full papers, and over 130 notes). These numbers are in line with our traditional submssion rates. Associate Paper Chairs and reviewers will soon be receiving instructions from the Papers & Notes Chairs! If you missed the Paper & Notes submission -- do not despair!

We invite you to consider proposing a Panel or a Workshop. Panels and workshops allow for different styles of interaction within the CSCW conference. Panels are an excellent forum for raising new and controversial issues, while workshops provide the opportunity to gather a small group of participants for a longer exploration of focused or emerging topics. Panel and workshop proposals are due very soon - May 2, 2008.

Even at this early stage the CSCW 2008 program is starting to take shape. The Opening Keynote will be given by Cory Ondrejka a co-founder of Second Life. Remember to mark your calendar to reserve Nov 8-12, 2008 for CSCW 2008 in San Diego, CA, USA.
